The T.E.A.M. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)—or T.E.A.M. Employee Assistance, as we are more commonly referred to—is a benefit provided to you by your or a family member’s employer. You might wonder, “Just what exactly is an EAP?” Well, it’s exactly what its name says: a program designed to assist employees and their family members. T.E.A.M. can help you resolve any concerns that are affecting your personal or work lives…no matter what the issue! If you think, “I don’t have any concerns”, you might want to consider using T.E.A.M.’s services anyways…to assist you in making changes that would enhance your quality of life.
The EAP is a confidential benefit. This means that T.E.A.M. must keep your records, and even the fact that you called us, confidential from any other party. No one—not even your employer—will ever know you used T.E.A.M.’s services unless:
- You choose to disclose this information,
- You give T.E.A.M. written permission to disclose it; or,
- There are legal circumstances that mandate disclosure.
You can use T.E.A.M.’s EAP without any concern that we’ll tell someone why you came to see us, or that you came to see us at all. If you’d like more information about your privacy, please take a few minutes to review Your Privacy Rights.
Another important feature of the EAP is that, not only is it confidential, it also costs you nothing to use T.E.A.M.’s services. That’s right: absolutely no money will come out of your pocket for any service provided directly by T.E.A.M.
